OCC Lip Tar Review

Sooo many pretty colors! If you're into makeup and lip colors chances are you've heard about Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetic's Lip Tars. If you haven't heard of them, they are liquid lipsticks and are both vegan & cruelty free. They come in a tube and are best applied with a lip brush but I usually end up using my fingers. I recommend that you also use a lip liner to keep the color on your lips as well as utilize the clear lip tar as a base and top coat to seal in the color.  

Believe me when I say a little goes a long way. For the swatches below I just dabbed the tip of the lip tar on my arm and blended out with the tip of the lip tar since it was such a small area. I have only bought the Lip Tar All Star Mini x 12 Set and the All Star Mini x4 Set (both came with a lip brush and were from Sephora but the x4 was just a holiday thing) so I only have the smaller size tubes. The colors are also available by themselves in larger tubes. You can buy them from OCC's website here. I don't think I will run out any time soon though!

The lip tars have a slight minty flavor and do not dry out your lips. As you can tell, the color payoff is huge. There are quite a variety of colors and finishes. Plus, you can get creative and mix different colors for different effects (they can even be used on the cheeks as blush). You can even use the lip tars on top of other lip products.
